Ava Risk Group (AVA) has received a $2.4 million order from the Australian Department of Defence.

This order was placed with Ava’s BQT Solutions sector and concerns its high-security, custom encrypted, access control technology.

This technology will be deployed across all Defence facilities and bases around Australia.

Ava said this order will be filled quickly and the first shipment, of many, is expected on May 20. Current expectations are that this entire order will be completed by the first half of FY21.

“Receiving this order today from the Department of Defence for our BQT Solutions access control technology is excellent news,” CEO Scott Basham commented.

“BQT Solutions has had an enduring relationship with our military, and has long been a provider of choice for advanced mission-critical technology solutions to protect vital national infrastructure,” he said.

“This order also reflects the success of our efforts to focus on winning more strategic program sales with major government agencies and corporate entities all around the world,” he added.

BQT Solutions specialises in the development, manufacture and supply of high quality, high-security card and biometric readers, and electromechanical locks.

Its technology is deployed across thousands of high-risk sites across the world such as airports, prisons, governments, and hospitals.

Ava is up a slight 3.45 per cent at market close and shares are trading for 15 cents each in a $33.94 million market cap.
