Ongoing drilling at Azure Minerals’ (AZS) Skyline prospect has discovered a new zone of nickel and copper sulphide mineralisation.

Skyline is about 300 metres to the west of the VC-23 prospect, which is part of the Andover Project, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

To date, 133 diamond drill holes have been completed at Andover for a total of 58,808 metres, with three holes at Skyline.

All three holes intersected intervals of nickel and copper sulphide mineralisation at the modelled depths.

Results include 7.4 metres of disseminated nickel-copper sulphides from 55.5 metres and 2.9 metres of disseminated nickel-copper sulphides from 70 metres.

Additionally, over at the VC-07 prospect, further intersections of massive nickel and copper sulphides were found.

With results including two metres massive to disseminate nickel-copper sulphides from 245.8 metres and 0.9 metres of massive to matrix nickel-copper sulphides from 356.6 metres.

Managing Director Tony Rovira is very pleased that regional exploration drilling has “got off to a great start”.

“The first three holes all intersected Ni-Cu sulphide mineralisation coinciding with EM conductors, confirming that on the Andover Project, electrical conductance continues to be associated with sulphide mineralisation,” he said.

“Meanwhile our drilling continues to intersect substantial Ni-Cu sulphide mineralisation within the VC-07 mineralised corridor, with the latest massive sulphide intersections at VC-07 West also coinciding with electromagnetic conductors.”

As the market opens this morning, Azure is up 19.1 per cent to 40.5 cents at 10:35 am AEDT.
