Balkan Mining and Minerals (BMM) has received final boron assay results from surface sampling at its Dobrinja project in Serbia.

The company says it received results of up to 2300 ppm of boron oxide, averaging 497 ppm boron oxide, indicating a permissive environment for stratabound mineralisation.

Preliminary mapping and sampling programs at the project provide strong evidence of permissive sediments being buried by younger sedimentary cover.

The company is planning to undertake additional detail sampling in areas where anomalous zones were identified, which may provide near term drill targets for the company.

Balkan Mining and Minerals is currently evaluating historic ground geophysical surveys, conducted across the tenements to estimate the thickness of sediments.

In conjunction with received assays results, the company submitted 21 samples including internal standards to SGS lab for checking the laboratory results.

The company is expecting some delay due to third party laboratory scheduling and capacity constraints related to the COVID 19.

Shares were trading 17.2 per cent lower at 41 cents at 12.58 pm AEDT.
