Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has appointed Nigel Broomham as General Manager of Exploration.

The company said Mr Broomham will “spearhead” the exploration of its portfolio of international battery metals assets.

With more than 12 years’ experience in the resources industry, Mr Broomham has spent time in charge of exploration, resource development and production at the Pilgangoora lithium-tantalum project in Western Australia.

He has plied his trade at lithium producer Pilbara Minerals (PLS), Mineral Resources (MIN), Consolidated Metals and Hancock Prospecting.

Battery Age CEO Gerard O’Donovan said it’s pleasing to add someone of Mr Broomham’s calibre to the team.

“Nigel is a highly experienced geologist who played an important role in the exploration, development and operation of Pilbara Minerals’ world-class Pilgangoora lithium project,” he said.

“He brings extensive technical geological expertise, strong commercial acumen and considerable energy and enthusiasm – all of which will be invaluable as we embark on our growth journey as a diversified battery metals company.”

Mr Broomham will be responsible for overseeing exploration works across all Battery Age sites, focusing on the upcoming maiden exploration campaign at the Falcon Lake lithium project in Canada.

BM8 shares ended the day up 23.7 per cent to trade at 57.5 cents at market close.
