Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has announced significant assay results from a drilling program undertaken at its Falcon Lake lithium project in Canada.

Notable intercepts included 31.75 metres at 1.45 per cent lithium oxide from 14.46 metres downhole, including 14 metres at 1.70 per cent.

Other highlights comprised 14.7 metres at 1.50 per cent lithium oxide from 3.7 metres downhole, including 10 metres at 1.81 per cent, and 13.35 metres at 1.50 per cent from 5.4 meters downhole.

The program represents a follow-up investigation to expand on the company’s recently identified spodumene mineralisation.

BM8 Managing Director Gerard O’Donovan said the company was pleased with the follow-up assays, which come from its second batch of diamond drillholes.

“These results continue to confirm that we have significant mineralisation across many holes and in multiple locations across the property,” he said.

“We are also excited about the high-priority targets that have been generated for the drill rig as part of the summer fieldwork program, which is ongoing at the site.”

To date, 57 holes have been drilled, covering a distance of 6462 metres, with assays received for 38 holes, and an additional 19 holes currently awaiting analysis.

In the meantime, additional drilling preparations are underway to test a five-kilometre mineralised target discovered during the company’s successful summer fieldwork program, which continues onsite.

BM8 shares were up 4.55 per cent, trading at 34.5 cents at 12:12 pm AEST.
