Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has reported results from a maiden drilling campaign at its Falcon Lake lithium project in Ontario.

Initial assays showed “significant” shallow mineralisation of lithium, reinforcing previous observations reported on July 4.

Assays included 27.6 metres at 1.37 per cent lithium oxide from 16.65 metres downhole. The hit included internal highs of 15 metres at 1.65 per cent lithium oxide.

Other hits included 21.92 metres at 1.44 per cent lithium oxide from 5.7 metres downhole.

These results highlight the presence of valuable lithium deposits in the area, making it a promising prospect for the company.

To date, Battery Age has completed 26 holes covering a total distance of 2693 metres, with assays pending for 17 of these holes.

Drilling operations are ongoing in the Falcon West region as the company continues to assess the scale and geometry of the lithium ore bodies in the area.

BM8 was up 8.86 per cent, trading at 43 cents at 3:31 pm AEST.
