BBX Minerals (BBX) has intersected platinum and iridium mineralisation at the Três Estados project in Brazil.
The company received assay results from reverse circulation drill holes from its 2017 drilling program, where assays were conducted for gold, platinum, palladium, iridium and rhodium.
BBX reportedly hit consistent zones of mineralisation in both holes from surface to end of hole, within both weathered and fresh gabbro, extending the known mineralisation style encountered at Adelar to the Cupuaçu target.
Results from the drilling included eight metres at 1.35 grams per tonne (g/t) platinum group metals (PGM), including 1.07 g/t platinum, 0.25 g/t iridium and 0.03 g/t rhodium from two metres.
Additional results included two metres at 1.71 g/t PGM, including 1.4 g/t platinum and 0.31 g/t iridium from 10 metres.
“It is very exciting to see these results from TERC-012 and TERC-013 at the Cupuaçu target,” BBX CEO Andre Douchane said.
“They indicate mineralisation in a completely new anomaly located approximately four kilometres to the northeast of the Adelar target.”
BBX Minerals was up 1.43 per cent, trading at 7.1 cents at 1:36 pm AEST.
