- Aus Post has agreed to sell Beam’s ZOLEO messaging device on its website and through participating outlets across the country
- Australia Post will start rolling out ZOLEO from next month
- The company also hopes to expand the device’s reach into the government sector where ZOLEO will be useful for remote workers
- Beam ended the day with shares 2 per cent in the green and trading at 25.5 cents
Beam Communications (BCC) has welcomed Australia Post as a major retailer.
Through a recent retail partnership agreement, Australia Post will sell Beam’s ZOLEO device online and via its participating outlets across the country from May onwards.
Australia Post has over 4300 retail outlets in the country and over 2500 of these are located in rural and remote regions. This is important as the ZOLEO messaging device is particularly useful in rural and remote areas.
Initially, the pocket-sized device will be available in selected regional locations as well as on its website. After this, the device will progressively roll out to other outlets across Australia.
“We are proud to support Australian innovation and are pleased to be able to offer a unique device like ZOLEO to the many millions of Australians who shop at our stores and online,” Australia Post Category Manager Telecommunications Drew Bailey said.
“Sales of ZOLEO in Australia is accelerating and our new partnership with Australia Post will help us build on this momentum,” Managing Director and CEO Michael Capocchi said.
Beam says it is also working on expanding the device’s reach into the government sector where ZOLEO will be useful for remote workers and emergency situations.
Beam ended the day with shares 2 per cent in the green and trading at 25.5 cents.
