Blackstone Minerals (BSX) has continued to intersect massive sulphide mineralisation across its King Snake and Ban Chang prospects in Vietnam.

Early last month, one hole at King Snake intersected 19.55 metres of continuous mineralisation.

Today, assay results were received from two maiden drill holes completed at King Snake.

The first hole intercepted 2.79 per cent nickel, 3.81 per cent copper, 0.10 per cent cobalt and 4.85 grams per tonne (g/t) platinum group elements (PGE) at 0.60 metres from 193.05 metres.

The second hole found 1.22 per cent nickel, 0.49 per cent copper, 0.04 per cent cobalt and 4.67 g/t PGE at 5.88 metres from 131.74 metres.

These results, in conjunction with historical drill results, have defined a strike length of over 800 metres at King Snake which includes MSV, semi-massive sulphide vein (SMSV) and disseminated sulphides.

Managing director Scott Williamson commented on the results saying, “the first results from King Snake represent some of highest tenor massive sulphide intersections that Blackstone has achieved to date.”

In addition, the company says the assay results along with visual inspection have indicated a greater thickness of sulphide mineralisation down plunge of historic drilling.

Scott continued by saying “the new discovery remains open and we are dedicating resources to ensure that we test the full extent of mineralisation at King Snake and build a mining inventory to be included as part of ongoing studies.”

Furthermore, the company released new results from the Ban Chang MSV prospect of drilling completed in the calendar year 2020.

Significant results included 1.78 per cent nickel, 0.83 per cent copper, 0.08 per cent cobalt and 1.14 g/t PGE at 4.72 metres from 87.70 metres intercepted from hole BC 20-44.

Hole BC 20-39 intersected 1.39 per cent nickel, 0.79 per cent copper, 0.08 per cent cobalt & 0.78g/t PGE at 3.07 metres from 63.80 metres.

Blackstone says these results will underpin its strategy to map out a maiden resource within the first half of this year, to supplement ongoing studies.

Finally, further drilling continues at the Taipan Discovery Zone, discovery hole, that was announced last month.

The company is also in the final stages of drilling at its Ban Phuc prospect and expects to give an update by the end of this financial half year.

Blackstone shares have dropped 3.16 per cent to 46 cents a piece at 11:23 am AEDT.
