Blaze Minerals (BLZ) is expanding its North Spirit lithium project in Ontario’s “Electric Avenue” in Canada.
Blaze’s project partner, Exiro Minerals Corporation, has claimed an additional 192 claims covering 2,550 hectares, which joins the south western Batholith contact to the North Spirit lithium pojrect.
The addition takes the project to a total 1,827 claims covering 36,510 hectares.
Blaze entered a heads of agreement with Exiro Minerals Corporation in May to acquire 100 per cent of the North Spirit Lake project, made up of 1698 claims for 340 square kilometres in the Red Lake region in Canada.
Field activities are due to commence from July, targeting the two-mica granite pegmatites which were defined in the regional Ontario geological survey.
BLZ rose 10 per cent, with shares trading at 2.2 cents at 1:10 pm AEST.
