Blaze Minerals (BLZ) has seen early success at its Earaheedy Basin project in Western Australia after beginning drilling in late July.

To date, 12 holes, for 1627 metres, have been drilled within E69/3815 to target the prospective stratigraphy. Of the 12 holes, five recorded mineralised bedrock.

The first five holes tested the potential of the Iroquois carbonate dolomite formation, however, no anomalous results were returned.

The remaining six holes then evaluated and tested the Frere/Yelma unconformity which was intersected in all holes.

Portable x-ray fluorescence (XRF) results include nine metres at 1.69 per cent zinc and 0.07 per cent lead within 21 metres at 0.68 per cent zinc and 0.11 per cent lead, and six metres at 1.27 per cent zinc and 0.18 per cent lead.

Samples are expected to be received by the laboratory in the coming days and results may differ from those from the XRF analysis.

Based on the work completed to date, the tenement covers roughly 25 kilometres of prospective stratigraphy and Blaze will advance drilling to the west-northwest.

Heritage surveys are being planned and will be completed once all authorised drilling has wrapped up, allowing for a further eight kilometres of strike to be tested.

Blaze shares have ended the day 20 per cent in the green to close at 3 cents.
