Boss Energy (BOE) has completed a review of all required permits for its Honeymoon Uranium Project in South Australia.

The comprehensive permit review assessed all regulatory approvals currently held for Honeymoon against those necessary to mine and process uranium oxide concentrate, its transportation to port and its export to international markets.

The review concluded that the company has acquired all permits to mine, process, store, transport and export uranium from the project, as required by Federal and State Government authorities. This means the Honeymoon processing facility can immediately restart production.

Boss also confirmed the permits needed to increase nameplate production at Honeymoon to 2.45 million pounds a year are in place and in good order.

The successful completion of the permit review is the latest in a series of key milestones achieved by the company as part of its strategy to become Australia’s next uranium producer, outlined in an enhanced feasibility study (EFS) set for release during this quarter.

“The soon-to-be-completed EFS will provide a roadmap to re-commissioning with simple modifications,” said Managing Director of Boss Energy Duncan Craib.

“Combined with a significant uranium stockpile locked in at attractive prices and all the required approvals and permits for near term production in place, Boss is well on track to be Australia’s next uranium producer.”

The company expects the coming EFS will pave the way for binding offtake contracts and a clear pathway for the re-start of production.

Boss Energy is up 12.9 per cent, trading at 17.5 cents at 11:45 am AEST.
