Technology company, BrainChip (BRN) has updated the market on its readiness to deal with the global spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

BrainChip has been monitoring the developments related to the coronavirus. It is following all the precautions that are put out by the U.S. Government through the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organisation (WHO).

The company is observing the best practices to protect the health of its employees, address supply chain concerns and to ensure the continued development of its Akida chip technology.

BrainChip is aiming to only engage with customers through conference calls and video conferences to prevent the potential spread of the virus.

It has also told employees to work from home as much as possible and take precautionary measures when interacting with fellow colleagues and visitors.

“All technical specialists and professional staff are equipped to work remotely,” the company told the market.

BrainChip is down 8.33 per cent on the market this afternoon, trading at 3.3¢ apiece at 1:15 pm AEDT.
