Breaker Resources (BRB) has intersected up to 20 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) at the Lake Roe Gold Project.

Lake Roe lies 100 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and consists of nine granted exploration licences, one granted mining lease and two applications for a total area of 680 square kilometres.

Results have been received from seven extensional and infill diamond holes which were drilled to target high-grade lodes at the Bombora deposit.

Five holes targeted the north extensions of a two-kilometre long lode while two holes targeted the southern extension of two sub-vertical mineralised shears.

Reconnaissance reverse circulation (RC) drilling was also undertaken in the northern part of Lake Roe with focus on the Carbineer and Mako prospects.

Overall, best results include 8.15 metres at 3.91g/t gold from 424 metres including one metre at 20.27g/t gold from 429 metres; and 5.7 metres at 4.17g/t gold gold from 436.3 metres including 0.7 metres at 17.95g/t gold from 436.3 metres.

Executive Chairman Tom Sanders is pleased with the progress of the drilling programs.

“The diamond drilling results extend the high-grade gold potential below the open pit resource in two areas, upgrade the continuity on three new 80-metre spaced sections within the two kilometre-long North Lode array, and expand the high-grade potential to the south on the Tura and Daisy Lodes,” Mr Sanders said.

“The RC results open up the gold potential in two new areas at the Carbineer Prospect, 400 metres east of Bombora, and over a four kilometre-long target zone hosted by the Swan Lake Syenite, 700 metres east of Bombora, where the early indications point to a flat and west-lode architecture shared with the Bombora deposit.”

RC drilling is estimated to resume on August 2 with a focus on targeting extensions of the mineralisation at Bombora South and testing the Carbineer Prospect.

Breaker was up 3.03 per cent on the market with shares trading at 17 cents at 12:41 pm AEST.
