Brookside Energy’s (BRK) longest well to date has reached its total measured depth of around 18,140 feet.

The well is Brookside’s third within the SWISH area of interest (AOI), located in the Anadarko Basin.

The Flames Well has now been cased, with the 5.5 foot production casing string landed, set and cemented in place.

Brookside’s sights are now set on continuing rig operations, including site work and installation of surface production facilities in preparation for the arrival of well stimulation equipment and subsequent production of oil and rich gas.

Managing Director David Prentice said successfully drilling and casing the third high-impact well in the SWISH AOI is another milestone for the company.

“This is the last well in our HBP program, with the establishment of production in the Flames Well marking the culmination of a plan to build an operated position in the core of southern SCOOP that was first conceived in early 2018,” said David Prentice.

“The SWISH area has now become the focus of many of the most highly regarded and successful publicly traded exploration and production companies in the US and we are now on the verge of holding our core-of-the-core acreage position in the highly sought after Sycamore-Woodford trend by production.”

Operations to rig down the Kenai Drilling Rig 18 are now underway, and are said to be proceeding on schedule, safety and without incident.

Brookside Energy last traded at 2.3 cents on April 20.
