Bryah Resources (BYH) has completed a six-hole diamond drilling program at its Windalah Prospect in Western Australia.

The Windalah Prospect is located on the southern limb of the Mars Dome which forms part of a group of double-plunging anticlinal dome structures in the northern Bryah Basin.

The company said that despite limited copper mineralisation, the geochemical data from drilling improved its understanding of the geology and confirmed a high sulphidation volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system with potential for copper and gold.

VMS systems within the Bryah Basin are known to host high-grade copper-gold deposits like Sandfire Resources’ (SFR) DeGrussa and Monty mines as well as the historical Horseshoe Lights mine which is located just 13 kilometres north of the Windalah prospect.

Bryah CEO Ashley Jones said visually confirming the presence of a VMS system is a “massive step forward for this project.”

“The aim now is to vector within the VMS system and find the ‘hotter’ area where the copper mineralisation should be deposited. Seeing some secondary copper minerals in veins is also encouraging,” Mr Jones said.

The company will use the information from diamond core to refine targeting for the next round of drilling at Windalah.

Looking ahead, Bryah Resources will undertake an EIS-funded reverse circulation drilling program to test the Olympus geochemical anomaly on the northern limb of the Mars Dome.

This drilling is targeting a different part of a similar hydrothermal system to Windalah and may also be stratigraphically equivalent to the Horseshoe Lights mine sequence.

Company shares ended the day 2.70 per cent in the red to close at 5.4 cents.
