Bryah Resources (BYH) has confirmed a down-hole, multi-element geochemical anomaly at the Windalah East prospect within WA’s Bryah Basin.

The company completed 67 holes, for 5999 metres, of aircore drilling across four prospects within the Bryah Basin. However, the results announced today are just from Windalah East, and results from other areas will follow.

The newly-identified copper-gold anomaly spans a 500-metre strike length and is open to the northwest. Interestingly, the anomaly coincides with an airborne versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) target identified in 2018.

Out of the 67 holes, 27 were drilled at Windalah East after the initial geochemical anomaly was identified in 2018.

“The discovery of this downhole geochemical anomaly is testament to excellent geological processes the Bryah technical team has been applying to the project and confirms the potential for a VMS copper-gold discovery on Bryah’s highly prospective tenement package,” Managing Director Neil Marston said.

In addition to copper and gold, drilling at Windalah East returned highly anomalous results in volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) pathfinder minerals.

Results include 455 parts per million (ppm) arsenic, 48.5 ppm antimony and 12.7 ppm molybdenum. These minerals are generally associated with VMS copper-gold deposits including the nearby Horseshoe Lights high-grade copper-gold mine.

This drilling program is improving Bryah’s geological understanding of the project. The increased knowledge will then be used to re-evaluate the geophysical data acquired during the surveys conducted in 2018 and last year.

Bryah Resources is now planning a follow-up drilling program for early next year. Drilling will include reverse circulation (RC) drilling to follow up on the down-hole EM surveys. This will assist with outlining primary VMS high-grade copper-gold mineralisation.

Company shares are down 2.86 per cent and trading at 6.8 cents at 11:45 am AEDT.
