- With the new Walmart deal in hand, Bubs’ brick-and-mortar exposure in the United States will span 4800 stores across 35 states

Bubs Australia (BUB) has signed a deal with Walmart for a major shipment of its infant formula products.
Through the agreement, Walmart will purchase a shipment of six Bubs Infant Formula products and two Aussie Bubs Toddler Formula products, which will be distributed to around 800 Walmart stores across the US.
Bubs Founder and CEO Kristy Carr said the company was “tremendously excited” to be forging a relationship with Walmart, which builds on its existing Walmart.com sales channel.
“More broadly, the addition of Walmart will increase our bricks and mortar exposure in the United States over the coming days and weeks to around 4800 stores across 35 states,” Kristy Carr said.
The shipment will contain around 85,000 tins of Bubs Infant Formula, which will fill an entire Boeing 747-400F cargo aircraft chartered by the US Government under the Fourth Operation Fly Formula Mission.
The shipment includes Bubs Supreme A2 Beta-Casein Protein, Bubs Organic Grass Fed, and Bubs Easy-digest Goat Milk Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula portfolio, which will supplement Aussie Bubs Toddler Formula products already sold online with Walmart.
The new contract follows Bubs’ deals with American grocery store giants Kroger and Albertsons as the US struggles with a nationwide shortage of formula.
The shortage was exacerbated by a contamination scare involving the US’ largest formula manufacturer, Abbott, leading to States to call on the producer of Bubs’ Australian-made infant formula to attempt to combat the situation.
Bubs Australia last traded at 56.5 cents on July 15.
