Caprice Resources (CRS) has completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Lady Sampson prospect within its Northampton polymetallic project in Western Australia.

The company’s RC drill program included 11 holes for a total of 938 metres.

It tested north-south-oriented base metals mineralisation over around 750 metres of strike.

Drilling intersected lead, zinc, and copper sulphides in the majority of the holes.

“We are very pleased with the outcome of the maiden Lady Sampson drilling program, with sulphides intersected over almost the entire strike,” Caprice Managing Andrew Muir said.

“We eagerly await the assay results, which will help focus the next round of exploration in this significantly underexplored area.”

The company expects results in four to six weeks’ time.

The project lies within the Northampton Mineral Field of Western Australia.

Northampton has been historically mined for more than 100 years for base metals, though minimal on-ground exploration has taken place for the last 50 years.

Lady Sampson is around 40 kilometres southeast of Northampton, and Caprice’s program marks the first time any drilling has been done in the area.

CRS shares were steady and trading at 7 cents at 2:34 pm AEDT.
