Carawine Resources (CWX) has received results from aircore drilling at the Neale tenement which is part of the Tropicana North Project in WA.

The maiden drilling program aimed to explore anomalous gold trends along the Hercules Shear Zone.

Not only did drilling extend a high-grade gold anomaly associated with the shear zone to over four kilometres of strike, it also defined a 900-metre gold anomaly called “Big Freeze”.

A stand-out result includes two metres at 2.28g/t from 46 metres including one metre at 3.92g/t gold from 46 metres.

“Our goal for the Tropicana North project is to discover multiple, large, high-grade gold deposits that could underpin a new gold mining centre in the Tropicana region,” Managing Director David Boyd said.

“It is still early days, but the success in defining new targets at Big Freeze from just our first regional drilling program, on the back of our fantastic Hercules results, suggests we are on the right track,” he added.

Next up, Carawine will conduct a reverse circulation drilling program at the newly-defined Big Freeze prospect. RC drilling will test for higher grade mineralised structures at depth along the main Hercules Shear Zone.

Company shares are up 3.70 per cent and are trading at 28 cents at 2:58 pm AEST.
