Carnavale Resources (CAV) has received all results from the initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the McTavish East prospect.

The McTavish East prospect is part of the Kookynie Gold Project which lies 60 kilometres south of Leonora in Western Australia.

A total of 21 RC holes, totalling 2987 metres, were drilled as part of this initial program which aimed to expand the high-grade gold mineralisation identified in previous drilling programs.

New results include four metres at 12.94 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 126 metres including two metres at 23.67g/t gold, and four metres at 6.39g/t gold from 114 metres including one metre at 23.30g/t gold.

The RC drilling has extended the high-grade mineralisation encountered in previous drilling programs to 250 metres in strike and up to 150 metres in depth.

Follow-up RC drilling has been planned to expand the high-grade McTavish East discovery zone down-dip and along strike to test the prospective corridor between McTavish East and Champion South.

“The shallow high-grade results continue along strike, expanding the McTavish East high-grade zone by 100 metres to an overall strike of 250 metres that remains open along strike and down dip,” CEO Humphrey Hale said.

“CAV now is armed with a greater understanding of the mineralised structures at Kookynie and has defined a highly prospective corridor of over one kilometre between McTavish East and Champion South.”

Carnavale was down 14.3 per cent on the market with shares trading at 1.2 cents at 12:16 pm AEDT.
