Carnavale Resources (CAV) has commenced an aircore drilling program at the Ora Banda South Project, near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The program includes 10,000 metres to test for structurally controlled gold at the project.

Ora Banda South Project includes a 15 kilometre long tenement package with anomalous gold in soil and auger along the Carnage Shear Zone.

Previous exploration by Carnavale includes a program of soil sampling that follows a review of exisiting and publicly available geophysical aeromagnetic surveys.

Notably, the Ora Banda region is well endowed with gold, with numerous mines to be found in the local area. Mines within the area include Mt Pleasant, Cashmans and Lady Bountiful.

CEO Humphrey Hale is pleased to start CAV’s first aircore drilling at Ora Banda.

“This initial aircore program of 10,000 metres follows up on the gold anomalies outlined in the recent CAV soil sampling program and the positive shallow bedrock gold results from the limited historic drilling,” Mr Hale said.

“It is our view that the Ora Banda South Project has the potential to host a significant gold deposit along 15km of the Carnage Shear Zone within the tenement package.”

Carnavale closed up 7.14 per cent at 0.8 cents per share.
