Carnavale Resources (CAV) has completed a phase two aircore drilling program at the Kookynie Gold Project in Western Australia.

The 117-hole drilling program aimed to test the extents and potential of multiple gold anomalies and structural features that were identified in the first phase of aircore drilling completed in December last year.

That initial drilling program identified three areas of significant gold anomalism in the weathered rock profile prospective for high-grade gold. Carnavale believes the gold anomalism may lead to high-grade gold mineralisation similar to that
hosted by the historical Cosmopolitan, Leipold, and McTavish mines.

“Carnavale is delivering fast-track exploration at the Kookynie Gold Project, we are very pleased to be chasing three strong gold anomalies identified in our first drill program with trends open along strike for kilometres,” Executive Chairman Ron Gajewski said.

“The Kookynie Gold Project is an important part of Carnavale’s broad, systematic exploration program targeting new discoveries in gold, platinum group metals, nickel and battery metals across multiple prospects,” Ron added.

Samples from phase two drilling have been sent off for analysis and results will be reported towards the end of next month.

Company shares are up 25 per cent and trading at 1 cent at 1:50 pm AEDT.
