CCP Technologies has gained 25 percent after announcing it will now be providing its temperature control products in six hospitals around Melbourne and Sydney.

CCP Technologies specialises in Internet of Things (IoT) product development and product management.

The company’s IoT technology solution helps you control your fridges, freezers, display cabinet, cool-rooms, walk in-freezers, and other fixed monitoring locations.

The CCP smart tag is placed in temperature-controlled environments. The smart tag includes sensors. If the refrigeration equipment is failing, it will tell you straight away on your smartphone via an email or SMS.

In the past, CCP technology has typically been used to monitor food refrigeration. However, the company said in recent months three hospitals have started using the technology to monitor the temperature of specific medications.

Some medicines can expire quickly if they are improperly stored at room temperature, becoming less effective and threatening health. This is where temperature monitoring technology like CCP’s comes in.

Notifications and alerts will be sent to each Nurse Unit manager via a smartphone app when a fridge fails or exceeds predetermined temperature tolerance envelopes.

The maintenance team at each hospital will also monitor the fridges using the CCP platform.

On top of the new hospital clients, the company has also secured 14 aged care facilities. CCP technology will improve health and beverage safety and quality outcomes for residents.

The client base in the aged care facilities include Homestyle aged care and several others.

On top of this, CCP confirmed today that Monash University will continue to use CCP’s temperature monitoring system for high-value research biological specimens.

Recently, the company also signed a deal in Boston to use its products for a new state-of-the-art casino.
