Chase Mining (CML) has completed its first hole in a new program at the Lorraine Mine Gold Project in Quebec.

The company executed diamond drill hole, CM-20-01, at 368.5 metres.

Via the program, Chase is targeting gold, copper and silver mineralisation that was reported from historic sampling and limited drilling at the Lorraine Nickel-Copper Mine in Quebec, Canada.

Hole CM-20-01 intersected the targeted contact shear zone over roughly four meres from 351.5 metres downhole including a quartz-carbonate-fuchsite vein with aggregates of pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite at 353.4 metres.

Additionally, an eight-metre zone of brecciation with increased pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite aggregates at 362 metres downhole was intersected from 360 metres downhole.

Currently, hole CM-20-02 is being drilled. Last night, the hole reached 258 metres and will be extended by about 20 metres past the planned depth of 410 metres. The extension is based on positive results from the first hole.

When CM-20-02 is completed, the drill rig will continue with planned holes CM-20-03 and CM-20-04.

Company shares have dropped 23.5 per cent to trade for 2.6 cents each at market close.
