Chesser Resources (CHZ) has provided high-grade gold results from drilling at its Diamba Sud Gold Project in Senegal, West Africa.

These results mark the first from the current 4000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Area A discovery within the Northern Arc target. The latest results are from 12 RC holes totalling 1185 metres.

Area A

Initial results from Area A have identified new extensions to previously defined gold mineralisation.

Drilling has confirmed the presence of a potentially significant north-northeast mineralised structural trend.

Latest results include; 23 metres at 3.50g/t gold from 96 metres, including ix metres at 5.44g/t gold from 96 metres, and six metres at 5.60g/t gold from 110 metres. Additional results include eight metres at 1.58g/t gold from 127 metres and eight metres at 1.37g/t gold from 147 metres.

The host structure and associated gold mineralisation remains open to the south-southwest and is a priority target for follow-up drilling.

“We are delighted to report that the first batch of drilling results have confirmed and extended two high-grade mineralised structures at Area A within our Diamba Sud Gold Project,” CEO and Managing Director Mike Brown said.

Hole DSR138 successfully intersected 15 metres at 3.39g/t gold from 117 metres within an altered sedimentary breccia, with the hole ending in mineralisation.

Two further holes were drilled within Area A perpendicular to the interpreted southeast trending structure.

Significant intersections include 12 metres at 3.86 g/t gold from 14 metres (oxide), including four metres at 10.67 g/t gold, 15 metres at 2.98 g/t gold from 72 metres, including four metres at 7.35 g/t gold from 80 metres.

Hole DSR134 intersected a broad zones of moderate pyrite mineralisation, which included five metres at 1.02 g/t gold from 64 metres 5 metres at 1.05 g/t gold from 70 metres two metres at 2.46 g/t gold from 78 metres.

Hole DSR143 intersected 6 metres at 1.15g/t gold from 34 metres. This shows potential for multiple sub-parallel structures.

Another four holes are planned in this program and will target the area between the Southeast Extension Zone and Area A.

Drilling and assay results are pending from the Western Splay target, Area D, the anomaly located between Area A and D, Area A and the southeast extension of Area A near the tenement boundary.

Company shares are down 2.35 per cent and are trading for 8.3 cents each at 11:53 am AEST.
