Retailer City Chic Collective (CCX) has completed the acquisition of U.K.-based brand Evans Retail from within the Arcadia group for $41 million.
The deal is a binding asset purchase agreement to buy the Evans brand, its e-commerce business and the wholesale business.
City Chic Collective is a global retailer specialising in plus-size women’s apparel, footwear and accessories, and is part of a collective of customer-led brands including City Chic, Avenue, Evans, CCX, Hips & Curves and Fox & Royal.
City Chic and CCX have a network of 96 stores across Australia and New Zealand, websites operating in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., and marketplace and wholesale partnerships in the U.S., U.K. and Europe.
Evans target a broad customer base with a long history and significant online customer following.
City Chic is up 5.87 per cent, trading at $3.79 per share at 3:02 pm AEDT.
