Leading construction and engineering provider Civmec (ASX: CVL) has released a robust performance and activities update for the first quarter ended 30 September 2026.
The group has made a strong start to FY27, recording quarterly revenue of $324 million, an increase of approximately 70% on the prior corresponding period, driven by a significant uplift in activity across its Construction division.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter were $35.1 million, and net profit after tax (NPAT) was $18.4 million, an increase of approximately 75% on Q1 FY26.
The final dividend for FY26 of 3.5 cents per share was paid on 23 October 2026.
“Our first quarter reflects an increase in activity across the business and is a clear demonstration of the success of Civmec’s diversification strategy,” chairman James Fitzgerald said.
“Strong contributions from our resources, energy, infrastructure and defence work, together with new awards such as the Wagerup gallium project, give us a solid platform for the year ahead.”
As at the date of this announcement, Civmec’s order book stands at approximately $1.4 billion, compared with $1.15 billion at the same time last year.
This follows the announcement on 5 October 2026 of new contract awards and extensions with a combined value exceeding $220 million, to be delivered across FY27 and FY28.
Led by the Wagerup gallium project, these awards reflect the group’s continued success in converting its pipeline of opportunities in the critical minerals sector.
“They also show the strength of Civmec’s long-standing relationships with Tier-1 clients,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
“The order book remains diversified across the resources, energy, infrastructure, and marine and defence sectors. Tendering activity remains robust, with the roup taking part in a number of early contractor involvement (ECI) processes for medium- to large-scale opportunities.
The Group recorded a number of key operational highlights during Q1 FY27, including major project milestones, completions and new awards across the sectors in which it operates.
CVL was up by 5.21% to $1.72. Mkt cap $830.6M.
