Comet Resources (CRL) has completed a detailed geological mapping of the Santa Teresa Gold Project in Baja California, Mexico.

The mapping has found numerous narrow vein structures at the surface, which is additional to the already known vein structures found in 2008.

Notably, visible gold was found in a 25cm-wide sample.

“I am very pleased with the progress at the Santa Teresa Gold Project,” Managing Director Matthew O’Kane said.

“Interminco and Minera Cascabel have done a good job of arranging access to the Project site with the local stakeholders and have then wasted no time in completing the initial field survey, detailed geological mapping and a review of the historical drill core,” he added.

Geologists, Minera Cascabel, also conducted a review on the historical drill core from the 2008 drilling program. 27 samples have been cut from old core and will be sent for analysis.

A diamond drilling program is now being planned for the project.

Comet will soon submit drilling permits once the final documentation is completed, with approval expected in the following 60 days, unless delayed by COVID-19.

“I am looking forward to receiving the results from the samples sent for
assay, and also the completion of the permitting process for drilling,” Matthew concluded.

On the market this morning, Comet is in the grey and trading at 2.1 cents per share at 10:25 am AEDT.
