Corazon Mining (CZN) has intersected nickel and copper mineralisation at the Lynn Lake project in Canada.

The company has drilled three holes so far in its current diamond drilling program which is targeting a number of untested pipe-like intrusive bodies similar to the massive sulphide deposits previously mined at the historical Lynn Lake Mining Centre.

Hole 045, drilled to a target depth of 618 metres, intersected extensive mineralisation with visible nickel and copper sulphides from surface – including a 107-metre thick zone from 241 to 348 metres downhole.

This intersection is reportedly typical of the low-grade mineralisation within Lynn Lake.

Downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) testing of 045 also identified a strong ‘off-hole’ conductor about 40 metres by 20 metres in size, starting from 20 metres below surface.

The EM conductor possibly represents a stronger concentration of the sulphides intersected by hole 045.

Corazon plans to follow up on this conductor once it finishes drilling hole 046 which is testing a dense-magmatic body about 200 metres south of hole 045.

The current program initially included four targets, for 3000 metres, but depending on the results, Corazon Mining may extend the program.

CZN shares ended Tuesday’s session four per cent in the green at 2.6 cents.
