Critical Resources (CRR) has resumed drilling at the Gibson prospect within the Halls Peak project in New South Wales.

Halls Peak contains massive sulphide deposits, where near surface mining in 1896 extracted high-grade zinc, lead, copper and silver.

The materials stock said five holes for 650 metres had been completed to date, with 2500 metres to be completed as part of the program.

Visual massive sulphide intervals and disseminated sulphide mineralisation has been intersected in four of the five holes.

Critical Resources Managing Director Alex Biggs said he was pleased with the results to date.

“We are pleased to recommence drilling at Halls Peak,” Mr Biggs said.

“The drill campaign has so far provided excellent results and we continue to gain an increased understanding of the deposit. We look forward to completing the outstanding drill holes and updating the market with further results in due course.”

Shares in Critical Resources were trading up 4.2 per cent at 5 cents at 11:30 am AEDT.
