CZR Resources (ASX: CZR) has extended known gold mineralisation at its Croydon Gold Project in WA’s Pilbara, with drilling expanding the strike length at both the Top Camp and Bottom Camp prospects.

At Top Camp, final assays from the Phase 1 RC program have extended mineralisation another 200 metres to the north-east, taking the known mineralised trend to more than 900 metres.

The 30 hole, 5,950 metre program has now extended the deposit’s strike by more than 400 metres in total, although further drilling is needed to test for the higher-grade zones seen elsewhere at the prospect.

At Bottom Camp, an eight-hole, 1,447-metre RC program tested a roughly 700-metre-long structure. Gold anomalism above 100ppb was recorded along the structure, with higher-grade results including 1m at 6.37g/t gold from 44m and 4m at 2.72g/t from 135m in hole 26BCRC004.

Hole 26BCRC006 returned 4m at 4.36g/t gold from 142m, with the company noting the wide spacing between holes leaves areas for follow-up drilling.

CZR also reported a result of 3m at 0.69g/t gold from 229m at the Martin prospect, where drilling intersected a granitoid contact showing elevated arsenic, bismuth, molybdenum and tungsten.

The company said the result reinforces the prospectivity of the eastern part of Croydon, while heritage surveys are underway to allow diamond drilling beneath a copper-gold-zinc-rich gossan at Martin.

An aircore program targeting covered areas and gold-in-soil anomalies has also been completed, with assays pending.

CZR said planning for the next phase of exploration is underway, including follow-up work at Top Camp, Bottom Camp and Martin.
