Dart Mining (DTM) has highlighted the potential for intrusion-related or porphyry-style mineralisation at the Granite Flat prospect in Victoria.

The Granite Flat prospect is located nine kilometres southeast of Mitta Mitta and was historically mined between 1856 and 1918.

The company discovered the mineralisation potential through recent drilling which generated multiple broad intersections of lower-grade copper and gold.

Standout results include 20 metres at 0.96g/t gold and 28 metres at 0.35 per cent copper and 25 metres at 0.81g/t gold and 45 metres at 0.12 per cent copper.

Of the 42 holes, 33 intersected significant mineralisation, 20 ended in mineralisation and seven were mineralised along the entire length. The mineralisation remains open and untested at depth and along strike.

Dart Mining is now planning an induced polarisation and magnetotelluric survey to identify deeper porphyry potential at the prospect.

It will also undertake a 2000-metre diamond drilling program next month, which will be followed by 3000 metres of reverse circulation percussion drilling.

Dart ended the day 7.89 per cent in the green with shares closing at 20.5 cents.
