Dart Mining (DTM) was up as much as 37 per cent today after intersecting high-grade gold, silver and copper at the Granite Flat Project in Victoria.

In late 2020, 42 holes, for 1358 metres, were drilled at the project to confirm signifiant results and test new gold, copper and silver targets.

Of the 42 holes drilled, 33 intersected copper and gold mineralisation, 20 ended in significant mineralisation and seven were mineralised along the entire length.

Best results include 19 metres at 9.39g/t gold including three metres at 41.1g/t gold from 28 metres, 19 metres at 0.61 per cent copper including three metres at 1.52 per cent copper from 28 metres, and five metres at 40g/t silver including one metre at 157g/t silver from 20 metres.

“We are extremely pleased with the results of Dart’s maiden drill program at Granite Flat. These are the first holes in over 20 years at the prospect and we have achieved some spectacular high-grade gold, copper and silver hits that surpass any of the historical drilling activities and results,” Chairman James Chirnside commented.

“More importantly, we have enhanced the wider potential of the prospect with numerous long, lower grade, copper and gold intersections over an extensive area that indicate a large, fertile intrusive system that is potentially the source of the widespread mineralised footprint at Granite Flat,” he added.

Follow-up reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling will be undertaken with focus on closing notable structures and identifying further mineralisation at depth.

Furthermore, geophysical surveys have been planned to investigate the porphyry potential of Granite Flat with a drill program to be organised to test the potential once completed.

Dart is still up a healthy 31.4 per cent with shares trading at 23 cents at 12:33 pm AEDT.
