Dart Mining has dropped 20 per cent after announcing positive results from recent mapping and sampling activities at the Buckland Gold Project.

Recent geochemical exploration has detected a strong 400 metre wide arsenic soil anomaly over the Fairleys Shear Zone which is located about 2 kilometres northwest of the Fairleys Prospect.

Mapping and sampling has located multiple gold-arsenic anomalies in the Fairleys Shear Zone.

Dart mining said that only limited field checking has been undertaken on these anomalies.

However, according to the company recent field checking of an anomaly located about 1.5 to 2.0 kilometres north-north-west of the Fairleys Prospect has returned very encouraging results.

“Dart Mining’s interpretation is that gold mineralisation associated with the regionally extensive Fairleys Shear Zone and subsidiary shears is almost certainly the dominant bedrock source of the extensive alluvial gold,” the company said.

The Buckland Gold Project is located in the Buckland Valley in North East Victoria.

Dart Mining is an exploration company that aims of evaluating and developing several historical goldfields.

The regional soil program at Buckland is ongoing with a total of 2700 samples collected from 78 kilometres of traverses across the Fairleys Shear Zone.

Drilling is required to fully evaluate the zone but Dart plans to complete a further soil survey to more closely define the area before a drill test is undertaken.

“A major exploration program is planned for the Buckland Gold Project which is the Company’s highest priority gold project because of its potential for large scale gold mineralization,” the company concluded.
