De Grey Mining (DEG) has flagged anomalous gold from drilling at the Antwerp trend, which is part of the Greater Hemi Corridor in Western Australia.

The company conducted aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling along a 15-kilometre-long-by-10-kilometre-wide structural corridor from Antwerp in the southwest to Mt Berghaus in the northeast — an area referred to as the Greater Hemi Corridor.

First-pass drilling at Antwerp aimed to follow up on gold anomalism and has highlighted a one-kilometre-long anomalous gold trend extending to the southwest of the Eagle deposit.

New aircore results from 500 metres north include two metres at 261 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 36 metres, as well as one metre at 41.6 g/t gold from 1.4 kilometres south of Antwerp.

New RC results include six metres at 4.4 g/t gold from 28 metres and 25 metres at one g/t gold from 78 metres.

The company believes the Antwerp trend has “significant potential” to deliver new gold resources near the existing resources at the Hemi discovery.

“Recent aircore and RC drilling has identified new prospective altered intrusions, anomalous gold zones and areas of encouraging multi-element geochemistry within the Greater Hemi Corridor, east and west of the existing deposits at Hemi,” De Grey Technical Director Andy Beckwith said.

Drilling is currently focused on completing requirements for a definitive feasibility study, but the company plans to assess the potential of the newly-identified trend in the new year through infill RC and diamond drilling.

DEG shares were down 2.54 per cent to trade at $1.25 at 3:39 pm AEDT.
