Deep Yellow (DYL) has completed the reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Tumas 3 Central deposit in Namibia.

The company drilled 359 holes for 7634 metres at the deposit to convert the remaining inferred resource to indicated.

Since work began in February, 804 holes for 14,621 metres have been drilled across the Tumas 3 Central and Tumas 3 East deposits.

Of the drilling completed at Tumas 3 Central, 48 per cent of the holes returned greater than 100 parts per million (ppm) triuranium octoxide while 25 per cent returned greater than 200ppm triuranium octoxide.

Best results include eight metres at 2242ppm triuranium octoxide from 10 metres; 10 metres at 1945ppm triuranium octoxide from 28 metres; and nine metres at 1897pp, triuranium octoxide from seven metres.

Infill drilling is now in progress at Tumas 3 West to expand the life of mine (LOM) from 11.5 years to 20-plus years.

Once the resource has been upgraded, a new mineral resource estimate will be calculated for the Tumas 3 West, East and Central deposits and released in late June.

Deep Yellow was trading in the grey at 90 cents at 1.23 pm AEST.
