Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL) restarts drilling at Tumas Project, Namibia

Uranium explorer Deep Yellow (DYL) has begun a 90-hole reverse circulation drilling program at its Tumas Project in Namibia.

Drilling at the project in the world’s fourth-largest uranium-producing nations in the world commenced today and is expected to be completed next month.

Deep Yellow has outlined several objectives, the first of which is consolidating the resource base, relevant to the pre-feasibility study.

In addition, the company will collect reverse circulation drill chip samples for further metallurgical testing and carry out downhole gamma logging and downhole imagery scanning to differentiate lithologies.

Deep Yellow has also appointed a project manager to carry out the environmental impact assessment.

Baseline groundwater information has already been established and fauna and flora surveys have been completed while the radiation and air quality surveys have commenced.

Shares closed 4.26 per cent higher at 24.5 cents.
