Delecta (DLC) has begun exploration at its newly acquired Speedway Gold Project in Tooele County, Utah.

The aim of this exploration program is to identify targets for upcoming drilling programs.

Delecta acquired the project in January 2021 along with a historical database of over 800 rock chip samples which have been subject to very limited testing.

This upcoming mapping program will aim to identify the stratigraphic controls of the gold mineralisation at Speedway.

Due diligence sampling has already been completed with data confirming the existence of multiple mineralised outcrops and strongly anomalous gold values.

In addition to the ground mapping and sampling, Delecta will be undertaking an airborne magnetic drone survey as well as high resolution photography.

The survey will help identify intrusive rocks which could potentially be related to gold mineralisation.

“We secured the Speedway Gold Project in late January and have hit the ground running,” Managing Director Malcolm Day said.

“Over the next few months, various exploration activities will help us better understand the geologic setting and mineralisation throughout the project and will further assist with defining drill targets,” he added.

Delecta is steady on the market and shares are trading at 0.6 cents at 2:47 pm AEDT.
