Welcome to HotCopper’s latest Watchlist, where this week we’ve been joined by Diablo Resources (ASX:DBO) CEO Lyle Thorne to discuss recent exploration that’s “expanded the scale” at Star Range in Beaver County, Utah.

Listen to the HotCopper podcast for in-depth discussions and insights on all the biggest headlines from throughout the week. On Spotify, Apple, and more.

“With the South Star silver anomaly now having been defined for over three kilometres, the continuity and strength of this geochemical corridor points to a potentially large footprint,” Mr Thorne told HotCopper this week. “[What we’ve found is] a coherent anomaly, rather than just isolated surface features.”

“When we combine this with our early work at Star, which comprised rock sampling, mapping, and geophysics, the area’s now emerging as a genuine district-scale opportunity.”

The Beaver County project hosts multiple exploration opportunities, including interpreted extensions beneath the historic mine, induced polarisation anomalies, shallow gold-silver mineralisation and regional copper-silver skarn targets. Rock sampling has also returned up to 1,310g/t silver and 0.2% antimony, supporting the view that the area hosts a large, underexplored silver-antimony-copper system.
