Digital Wine Ventures (DW8) signed a record of 11 new customers to its WINEDEPOT business for the month of April.

Among these 11, DW8 signed on Clare Valley-based wine producer, Jim Barry Wines, which is a well-regarded winery known for producing highly-rated red and white wines including Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Jim Barry Wines is also one of Australia’s 11 First Families of Wine, sitting alongside the Henschkes, Tyrrells, and Brown Brothers.

Jim Barry sadly passed away in 2004, but he is considered a legend in the Australian wine industry with a long list of awards and achievements.

Other new customers include Brokenwood Wines, Chalmers Wines, Michelini Wines, Salena Estate, Stoney Hill Vineyard, Dominic Wines, Eagle Bay Brewing & Winery, Ubertas Wines, BABO Wines, and The Nimble Vintner.

These new additions brings the total number of WINEDEPOT customers to 46, representing just 1.8 per cent of the more than the 2500 wineries, 0 per cent of the 2000 distributors and 0.4 per cent of the more than 250 craft spirits producers in Australia.

WINEDEPOT is a cloud-based platform that connects the wine industry to a network of physical depots. This helps to reduce freight costs and shipping times for customers ordering wine online.

Additionally, Digital Wine Ventures has launched a blog to keep investors up to date with the company’s latest developments. The forum will also be used to promote discounts and special offers received from WINEDEPOT customers.

Company shares remain in the grey this morning, trading for 0.6 cents each at 10:28 am AEST.
