Ardiden (ADV) has completed a drone survey over two target areas at the South Limb prospect, ahead of the arrival of a second drill rig.

The brownfield gold prospect is part of Ardiden’s district-scale Pickle Lake Gold Project, located in northwest Ontario, Canada.

South Limb

In the west block, the geophysical survey successfully added to the company’s understanding of the structure and lithology of the area and will help position a drilling rig.

Over in the east block, a strong magnetic field interrupted the drone survey, causing it to be abandoned.

Ardiden, however, noted it’s possible for gold systems to be hosted in strongly magnetic iron formations and, as such, considers the area to be a high-priority drill target.

The second rig is scheduled to arrive on-site before the Christmas shutdown.

Kasagiminnis

Meanwhile, drilling continues at the Kasagiminnis gold deposit.

Ardiden also recently completed a geochemical sampling program at the deposit and anticipated results will come in next month.

New ground

The company has also staked out a further 190 square kilometres, adding to its district-scale project.

The new holding covers part of the Dorothy-Dobie trend and area around the Golden Patricia. The mine which was active in the 1980s and 1990s.
