ECS Botanics (ECS) has completed its first shipment of dried cannabis flower to the largest distributor of medicinal cannabis in the UK.

ECS received purchase orders for dried cannabis flower from Lyphe Group totalling over $500,000.

Lyphe currently supports over 60 per cent of the medical cannabis patients in the UK and has built a patient-access ecosystem that provides clinics, pharmacy and dispensing, important infrastructure and vital educational services.

Lyphe’s order is due to be delivered over the coming months as the product becomes available from the current harvest.

“This shipment is a significant milestone for ECS, as it is the first international export of our Australian grown dried cannabis flower,” said Managing Director Alex Keach.

“We expect our product to be well received by patients in the UK, and demand for our flower to grow significantly through the year.”

ECS said it expects further orders from the distributor over the 2022 calendar year.

Meanwhile, ECS has been performing additional ICH stability tests, which are required for product registration in many EU markets. These are expected to be completed within the next six months.

ECS Botanics shares were up 3.45 per cent to 3 cents at 10:35 am AEDT.
