Despite U.S. activity slowing significantly due to COVID-19, Eden Innovations (EDE) has significantly expanded its U.S. footprint.

At the time of writing, Eden’s product, EdenCrete, is being used by 40 different companies, 16 of which only began using it for the first time in 2020.

Of the 40, nearly half have bulk EdenCrete storage and dispensing equipment installed at 22 different plants.

Furthermore, 16 prospective customers are waiting to conduct trials for EdenCrete. These are expected to begin once COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

Of these 16 companies are awaiting trial, 11 are located in Texas, and the remaining five are located in U.S. states where Eden currently has no customers.

The 40 companies who are using are EdenCrete are spread across nine states. Those clients include concrete companies, shotcrete (sprayed concrete) suppliers, contractors, concrete manufacturers, and engineering consultants.

According to EDE, all of these companies will utilise EdenCrete on a bulk basis.

EdenCrete, which is Eden’s lead product, is a carbon nanotube mixture for concrete which is used to improve the tensile and flexural strength of concrete without compromising corrosion and strength resistance.

When added to a concrete mixture, instead of leaving openings that allow water to develop and weaken the structure, the nanotubes fill the microscopic spaces between the cement particles.

Once the concrete has dried and set, the nanotubes create millions of strong and flexible carbon bridges throughout the structure.

While not only making concrete stronger, EdenCrete is also believed to increase the life of the structure beyond current expectations.

Due to the significant growth experienced by Eden, the company has had to expand its sales team in the States during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This expanded team increases Eden’s coverage across Texas, the northeast and southwest of the U.S.

Eden has jumped 12.5 per cent on the market today and shares are trading for 3.6 cents each at 12:02 pm AEST.
