Elementos (ELT) has confirmed “significant” fluorite mineralisation at its Cleveland tin project in Tasmania.

The company discovered and confirmed the fluorite through a follow-up assay on the drill core for a diamond drill hole, dubbed C2119, in 2022.

The assay results showed that fluorite comprised 8.7 per cent of the composite sample assessed.

According to the company, hole C2119 had elements of tin, copper, tungsten, molybdenum and bismuth.

Fluorine was missed because it can only be identified through a separate method of analysis known as alkali fusion. It is this process that the ALS facility in Vancouver was able to provide.

Significant fluorite results from this additional assay data included 89.85 meters at 5.44 per cent fluorite from 205.3 metres.

“The confirmation of two broad zones of significant fluorite mineralisation intersected at our Cleveland tin project is additional confirmation that we sit on a very special asset here in Tasmania,” Elementos Managing Director Joe David said.

“The company will continue to progress its understanding of the fluorite mineralisation in our field and laboratory programs, in addition to desktop reviews of historical papers and mining reports from previous mining operations.”

Also found in C2119 was a zone of intensive quartz veining within a significant zone of silica and sericite alteration.

Elementos owns two world-class tin projects with large resource bases and significant exploration potential in mining-friendly jurisdictions.

Shares in Elementos (ELT) were up 0.93 per cent and trading at 27.25 cents at 11:36 am AEDT.
