Encounter Resources (ENR) will commence diamond drilling at Lamil and East Thomson’s copper and gold projects in the Paterson Province of WA.

Lamil Project

Lamil is 25 kilometres northwest of a major copper and gold mine at Telfer owned by Newcrest Mining (NCM).

Drilling at Lamil is targeting the Dune Prospect, aiming to extend a number of reverse circulation (RC) holes that contain copper and gold mineralisation.

Results from this prospect include 132 metres at 0.31g/t gold and 0.11 per cent copper from 87 metres to end of hole.

Drilling at this project is expected to commence next month.

East Thomson’s Dome Project

East Thomson is 5 kilometres from Telfer and has a similar geological setting of high-grade reefs at the gold project.

Previous drilling results at the project include 6 metres at 9.0g/t of gold from 178 metres at hole ETG0045

The diamond drilling program will be completed at East Thomson in June or July. Drilling will target the southwest extension of the high-grade reef intersected in ETG0045.

On the market this afternoon, Encounter is down 7.69 per cent and is trading at 18 cents per share at 1:34 pm AEST.
