Enterprise Metals (ENT) has confirmed a lithium anomaly within the Bullfinch North project in Western Australia.

The company completed a stage one sampling and mapping program earlier this year which focused on the western flank of the Radio Granite.

This work identified roughly 7.5 kilometres of pegmatites as well as a cluster of lithium to the north of the Radio mine.

Enterprise recently completed check assaying of 54 samples to follow up and further analyse the initial results.

Twenty three samples reported over 50 parts per million (ppm) lithium and 13 samples reported over 60 ppm lithium, with a peak value of 117 ppm lithium.

Enterprise confirmed the anomaly, dubbed the “Radio Lithium Anomaly”, is associated with lithium as well as other lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) elements including gallium and rubidium.

The company believes the Radio Lithium Anomaly displays similar geological characteristics as the Earl Grey lithium deposit which has a mineral resource of 189 million tonnes at 1.5 per cent lithium.

To follow up on the lithium anomaly, the company will soon begin a stage two soil sampling program on 100-metre spaced east-west lines.

Company shares were up 30 per cent to trade at 1.3 cents at market close.
