Following the end of year break, Estrella Resources (ESR) has restarted diamond drilling at its T5 nickel-copper discovery.

T5 lies within the Carr Boyd Nickel Project (CBNP), which is situated 80 kilometres north-northeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

It covers the 75-square-kilometre Carr Boyd Layered Complex (CBLC), which hosts several nickel and copper sulphide occurrences.

Estrella’s first focus is hole CBDD042, which lies 130 metres below hole CBDD041 — the last hole drilled in 2020 — and confirmed the T5 discovery spans at least 450 metres.

“Last years diamond drilling campaign at Carr Boyd was an outstanding success. We have discovered what is now clearly looking very much like a ‘feeder’ to the CBLC and the hunt is now well and truly on in 2021 to uncover the massive nickel and copper sulphide source I have always believed existed at Carr Boyd,” CEO Chris Daws said.

“With every hole that we drill we are one step closer to delivering a successful outcome for our shareholders and I am certainly looking forward to each and every metre of drill core that is placed on the core-farm racks,” he added.

Estrella is up 3.7 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 8.4 cents at 3:10 pm AEDT.
