Etherstack’s (ESK) subsidiary, Auria Wireless, has entered a contract with communications systems integrator RCS Telecommunications.

Auria will provide its P25 digital radio network to RCS’s customer. The customer is not named but the company did hint it is a major iron ore company in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The contract is a follow-on order to an initial network deployment announced last year, which delivered Etherstack’s technology to the mining sector.

Etherstack is expecting to earn revenue of $600,000, the majority of which will be recognised in the current financial year.

Notably, a third expansion order at this mine site is expected later this calendar year or early 2022.

“While the revenues from this win are modest, this is an important
win for Etherstack in demonstrating the suitability of our products and technologies for this sector beyond our traditional public safety and electric utility markets,” CEO David Deacon said.

“It is clear that the end client values Australian designed and manufactured solutions, as well as access to technical engineering expertise within the country,” he added.

On the market this morning, Etherstack is up 11 per cent and is trading at 55.5 cents per share at 10:12 am AEST.
