EV Resources (EVR) is set to begin exploring its satellite lithium projects in Austria through its approved Austrian geological consultants, GEO Unterweissacher.

As part of the exploration plans, GEO Unterweissacher will send a team to three satellite projects to test pegmatite mineralisation. EV and joint venture partner European Lithium (EUR) will consider and action a drilling program based on the results.

EV Resources’ Executive Director Adrian Paul said the collected information would support the definition of target areas and future promising drill hole locations.

“The outcome of this step in the strategy is a map containing exploration areas for soil geochemistry and/or possible drill hole program,” Mr Paul said.

“Previous reviews indicate good potential for lithium mineralisation, with various results up to three per cent lithium oxide.”

The projects are located immediately adjacent to European Lithium’s Wolfsberg deposit.

EV said the proximity of the projects to the Wolfsberg project created substantial optionality and potential synergistic development and production scenarios for both parties.

The Weinebene and Eastern Alps lithium projects are held 80 per cent by EV Resources and 20 per cent by European Lithium.

Shares in EV Resources last traded at 2.7 cents as of June 16.
